Junior Stateroom Steward – Norwegian Cruise Line 

Responsible for the daily servicing and cleaning of guest staterooms and surrounding areas on a prompt and professional basis and in accordance with the company’s highest standards as outlined.

 

HIS/HER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Responsible for daily servicing & cleaning of staterooms including, but not limited to: make beds/change bed linens; dust/vacuum entire room; restock/reset/remove any amenities as needed; clean all areas of bathroom (walls, ceiling, floor, toilet, shower/drainage, shower curtain, mirrors/chrome); change towels as needed; empty all trash bins.

·         Responsible for maintaining and the control of mini bar inventory in accordance with NCL standard operating procedures.

·         Keeps hallways tidy, passable and presentable by removing trash and dirty linen to back areas as needed, throughout the workday and at the end of each shift. Vacuums the hallways at the start and end of each shift.

·         Responsible for weekly heavy cleaning of each stateroom according to standard operating procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing all drawers, closets and shelves on embarkation/disembarkation day.

·         Provide frequent contact and service to guests in a warm, friendly and polite manner at all times and under all circumstances.

·         Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness in all guest staterooms and surrounding areas, proper management system sorting (at source), entry to guest staterooms and reports any suspicious activity.

·         Maintains the trolley, hallway, locker and pantry areas at all times in accordance with standard operating procedures and regulations.

·         Perform other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.


Minimum experience and qualification requirements for position:

·        • Two years’ experience in a Hotel or related establishment is required, or two years’ experience in hotel-related positions on board ships is required

·        • Intermediate to Advanced level of English verbal and writing skills is required.


Contract length: 36 weeks on/9 weeks off


Salary: 1179 $
